Welcome to the website for Senghenydd Community Centre

Senghenydd Community Centre is a volunteer run facility providing activities & services for the community and is the ideal venue to hire for your event, party, meeting or family function. We are host to weekly Citizens Advice Bureau drop in sessions, regular Councillor surgeries, a monthly Lunch Club for over 55s, Cinema showings, exercise sessions and special live events. Our Centre houses The Aber Valley Heritage Museum. We have a number of spaces to hire suitable for regular and one-off events including Children’s birthday parties, business meetings, exercise sessions, training days, wedding parties and family functions. Our premises is licenced, so a bar can be provided for your booking too. We welcome any enquiries to see how we can accommodate you so please phone, email or drop in to the Community Centre during office hours for a chat. We look forward to hearing from you.

Lyndsey shankland working medium will join us again for an evening of mediumship on Friday 24th May 2019.
Tickets are £10 in advance and available from the Centre.

This will take place in our upstairs function room, and bar will be available.

Please note that due to funding, Citizens Advice Bureau are no longer running a weekly drop in advice session at Senghenydd Community Centre.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SESSION ON 21ST MARCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED SO THE NEXT ONE WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY 4TH APRIL.

First Quiz of 2019

Thanks to everyone who came to our last Quiz Night. Our next one will take place on Friday 18th January 2019.
This takes place in the upstairs function room here at Senghenydd Community Centre. Starts at 7:30pm. Maximum 6 per team, £1.00 entry per person.

Weekly Drop in Advice Sessions

Every Thursday morning at Senghenydd Community Centre, Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent hold their weekly Drop In Advice Session.
This operates on a First Come, First Served basis between 9:30am – 12:00noon.

Mamma Mia! Here we go again

On Friday 30th November, come and singalong with Mamma Mia – Here we go again!
The Movie Night will take place in our upstairs function room, and bar & refreshments will be available. £2.00 per person. Doors open at 7:00pm. Tickets are available Monday – Friday 11:00am – 2:00pm from the Centre.

Summer Cinema

With the Summer Holidays just around the corner, it’s time to let you know that we will be running 2 🎬SUMMER CINEMA🎥 sessions in the summer break .
On Monday 30th July, come along to Senghenydd Community Centre to see PETER RABBIT🐰.
On Monday 13th August, join us to watch DUCK DUCK GOOSE🦆.
Both showings start at 11:00am, and doors open at 10:30am. Entry is £2.00 per person, which includes sweets & a drink. Please make sure that all under 10s are accompanied by an adult.
These will both take place in our downstairs hall, so please use the back entrance, through the car park.
